My favorite spot!

This weeks assignment had me at my favorite spot....the beach!  I find it truly amazing how I've been simply using my camera for photos of my children (although great subjects) but having a specific task has been awe inspiring.  I used picasa to make some photos black & white and adjusted some shadowing.  I took 87 shots in one afternoon.  I have uploaded a few to fotothing and will do more in a couple days.
Life Interrupted- Some damage from Irene at my beach.  Loved the vein-looking roots

I loved the formation of the stone and the deep lined pattern

I particularly enjoyed all the beachlife in this one shot.  The contrasting color of the driftwood is key.
Thank you for all that have commented on my fotothing pics with great suggestions.  I will definitely keep them in mind in future shots :)

    Looks like you know a bit about taking pictures. Looks like they coulf be Weston's work. Very nice! I like the rocks the best.
